An end-of-year round-up
Thursday Twelve O’clock is written by staffers at MMBP, an international creative agency based in London. MMBP has completed major work this year, including:
A rebrand of the Kingdom of Bhutan
The Kingdom of Bhutan appointed MMBP as its national and international branding partner in 2022, and we subsequently rebranded and repositioned the nation for an international audience, taking as inspiration the country’s fabled mountains and monasteries, rich biodiversity, and striking natural beauty. The rebrand, which was published in 2023, was multi award-winning.
Fenwick’s first ad campaign
Earlier this year, the iconic British luxury retail brand Fenwick appointed MMBP to direct a brand refresh and create new narrative work. The evolution included Fenwick’s first-ever brand campaign, titled “Quiet No More”, which ran across the UK in the Autumn both in print and online. We managed all aspects of the campaign, from strategy, creative concept and design direction to art direction and production, including delivery of all assets off- and online.
A major sneaker exhibition in Seoul
Following the successful launch of “Sneakers Unboxed” at the Design Museum in London, MMBP was entrusted to take the exhibition on a global journey, beginning in Seoul, where MMBP acted as Head of Exhibition, overseeing curation and execution. We played a pivotal role in identifying and collaborating with key partners to showcase distinctive sneaker collections. The collaboration extended to the creation of a pop-ip store in conjunction with Lotte Department Store, featuring exclusive pieces sourced from London, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, along with limited edition products. MMBP oversaw project management and production and steered the creative development of the exhibition design and architecture. This encompassed spatial design, visual identity, out-of-home advertising, marketing collateral, and event art direction.

What to watch
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. The latest from Aardman Animations, creators of Wallace and Gromit and the original Chicken Run, which was released in 2003. As over, it features incredible artistry. Brush Up Life, a drama that focuses on 33-year-old single woman embarks on a journey to restart her life.
What to drink
In London? Head to Off Broadway, on Broadway Market, for a mulled cider with a shot of whiskey.
What to drink next
Gray from Renegade, an urban winery in London. A beautiful light/medium bodied red wine with soft tannins and lots of red fruit.
What to read
The Bee Sting by Paul Murray, a proper family saga, set in Ireland, that is among the New York Times’ top ten books of the year.
